What you'll do

• Investigate complex workers’ compensation claims and develop action plans
• negotiate settlements within authority
• set and manage reserves
• calculate and pay benefits and adjust claims
• prepare required state filings
• manage litigation and vendor referrals
• apply cost-containment techniques
• manage recoveries and offsets
• report claims to excess carriers
• communicate claim activity to claimants and clients
• maintain accurate claim files and coding
• refer cases to supervisors when appropriate.
