Personal Care Assistant (PCA)

Job overview

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) role is full-time and onsite in Leland, NC. Compensation is $10–$16 per hour. The Bluefields supports seniors through safe, comfortable communities and personalized resident care. The PCA assists residents with daily living activities while promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing. The role also observes changes in residents’ condition, supports engagement, and helps maintain a safe and nurturing living environment in coordination with the nursing team.

What you'll do

• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, meals, feeding, hydration, and personal hygiene
• observe and report changes in health, behavior, and physical condition to the nursing team
• provide medication reminders and monitor for adverse reactions
• build positive relationships and encourage participation in community activities
• keep living areas clean, organized, and safe
• follow infection control and health and safety procedures
• respond to emergencies according to established procedures.
