Assistant Production Manager – Chemical Operations

The assistant manager supports daily production operations, safety, quality, and productivity while leading and developing shift supervisors and production staff. The role also troubleshoots process issues, strengthens training and compliance, and serves as backup to the Production Manager when needed.

What you'll do

• Coordinate shift supervisors and lead operators across shifts
• coach production personnel
• coordinate work priorities, staffing, and resources
• support employee evaluations and discipline as needed
• maintain housekeeping and 5S standards
• champion safety and quality compliance
• support permits, LOTO verification, audits, and inspections
• lead troubleshooting
• review production data and reports
• set testing priorities with lab personnel
• support operator training and qualification
• maintain training and incident records
• collaborate with production, warehouse, EHS, and quality teams
• direct plant operations in the Production Manager’s absence.
