The Infusion Registered Nurse — Oncology role is onsite in Manchester, CT; compensation is $40–$46 per hour. The nurse supports oncology patients at Regional Cancer Care Associates by providing infusion therapy and related clinical care. The role contributes to patient care throughout treatment by administering therapies, assessing and documenting patient status, educating patients, triaging concerns, coordinating with the multidisciplinary team, and following oncology, safety, and infection-control guidance. Cross-training and duties in other clinic areas may be needed.
What you'll do
- Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, antibiotics, symptom management, patient education, and triage
- provide and document professional nursing care
- administer monoclonal antibody therapy, IV therapy, and subcutaneous and intramuscular injections
- follow ONS guidance during adverse events
- evaluate and document patient status
- assist other healthcare personnel
- maintain the care environment and resources
- communicate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members
- follow protocols and policies
- cross-train and perform duties as needed in pharmacy, triage, lab, shots, and scheduling.
