The position oversees the Dietary Department and supports resident nutrition in a skilled nursing and assisted living organization. The dietitian guides dietary staff and food-service operations to ensure residents’ nutritional needs are met in line with care plans, physician orders, and regulations. Clinical assessment, menu oversight, and coordination with nursing and residents support safe, appropriate nutrition care.

What you'll do

• Supervise dietary staff and oversee department operations
• manage food and supply purchasing within budget
• guide diet planning, menus, preparation, and service of regular and therapeutic diets
• ensure menus follow resident needs, preferences, physician orders, and regulations
• obtain diet histories and maintain resident food preferences and nutrition records
• monitor weights, meals, food production, tray line, sanitation, and safe food handling
• collaborate with nursing and participate in care-plan and quality meetings
• maintain records, budgets, and supplies.

Why this role

Bachelor’s degree in dietetics, nutrition, or a related field and current Commission on Dietetic Registration registration are required. ServSafe certification is required or must be obtained within 90 days.
