Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant role is onsite in Buffalo, NY. Compensation is $70,000–$80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. The accountant supports Viridi's financial operations and works closely with the Controller. The role exists to record and reconcile financial transactions and support the monthly financial statement close, annual audit, and tax return. It contributes to accurate accounting across payables, receivables, cash, fixed assets, and inventory, as well as ad hoc projects with the Controller.

What you'll do

• Record transactions in the ERP for accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash, fixed assets, and inventory. Process vendor invoices, prepare check runs, resolve open payables issues, and support vendor tax documentation. Process customer invoice requests and monitor receivables aging. Record and reconcile cash
• maintain fixed asset records and depreciation
• prepare inventory unit-cost calculations and assist with physical counts. Prepare reconciliations and schedules for the financial statement close and assist with the annual audit and tax return.

Why this role

A bachelor's degree or higher in accounting is required. Two to three years of CPA firm experience and a CPA are preferred. Advanced computer skills, including Excel, are requested.
