The Catholyte R&D Senior Scientist role is onsite in Denver, CO. Pay is $105,000–$145,000 per year. The role supports Solid Power’s development of solid-state electrolytes for safer, higher-performing energy storage.

What you'll do

• Lead catholyte product development within R&D
• investigate electrolyte transport, interfacial stability, microstructure, and mechanical limitations in cathode composites
• use electrochemistry, microscopy, and materials characterization to establish structure-property-performance relationships
• develop and validate characterization methods
• analyze datasets and recommend technical actions
• manage and mentor a small team
• collaborate with modeling, engineering, and manufacturing
• communicate findings
• support milestones and customer-facing development
• evaluate emerging technologies
• develop intellectual property
• and champion safe laboratory practices.
