What you'll do

• Troubleshoot equipment aboard naval small boats and test craft
• check newly installed equipment
• evaluate system performance while underway
• install, service, repair, and test marine inboard and outboard engines
• and perform work safely according to industry standards and best practices. When needed, the technician may be required to go underway aboard Navy small craft as chief engineer.

Why this role

Requires at least five years of maritime engine repair experience, a current driver’s license, U.S. citizenship, and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. First shift may be 0700–1530 or second shift 0830–1700.
