The IT Senior Systems Engineer / Lead Senior Engineer role is onsite in Chesterfield, VA. Pay is $100,000–$110,000 per year, with a Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. schedule. The role supports the organization’s IT systems and critical business operations. The engineer leads the design, implementation, optimization, and support of enterprise infrastructure and networks. The role also advances system security, availability, and performance through architecture, audits, recovery testing, technical guidance, and mentoring.

What you'll do

• Lead stable, secure, and efficient systems and network operations
• design, implement, and support servers, networks, applications, and operating systems
• deploy systems and infrastructure improvements
• conduct cost-benefit and ROI analyses
• evaluate systems and develop improvement strategies
• coordinate with vendors and service providers
• create architecture designs and technical documentation
• perform server audits, security reviews, backup procedures, and disaster recovery testing
• maintain on-premise and cloud systems
• monitor performance and prepare reports
• train end users
• mentor junior engineers.
