Campus Safety Officer

Job overview

The Campus Safety Officer role is onsite in Putney, VT, and pays $17–$23 per hour. The officer works in Landmark College’s Department of Campus Safety, which provides year-round, 24-hour coverage to help maintain a safe learning, working, and living environment. The role supports campus safety through prevention, enforcement, incident response, and coordination with Residential Life. Officers help investigate reportable incidents, communicate concerns, conduct directed searches with Residential Life staff, and participate in safety education and security programs.

What you'll do

• Work with Residential Life staff on security and safety concerns
• alert residential staff to emergencies beyond the officer’s capacity
• assist with investigations and submit reports
• enforce college rules and regulations
• conduct room and property searches as directed in cooperation with Residential Life
• participate in safety orientations, training seminars, fire drills, and security programs
• maintain written fire-drill records.
