School-Age Group Leader, Before and After School

The School-Age Group Leader role is onsite in Rockland, MA, serving the Emilson YMCA branch and Norwell locations. Pay is $18–$20 per hour. The role supports the South Shore YMCA’s before- and after-school programs for school-age children. The Group Leader plans and delivers activities, provides homework assistance, and maintains a safe, engaging environment. The role also supports staff and volunteers, builds relationships with families, and helps keep program facilities and equipment safe and well maintained.

What you'll do

• Plan and execute programs that meet EEC/HEPA standards and children’s needs
• accommodate children with disabilities in accordance with EEC and ADA requirements
• supervise participants and volunteers
• direct staff work
• build family relationships and respond to inquiries
• help recruit families
• maintain facilities and equipment
• engage volunteers
• support YMCA fundraising activities and events.
