The Catering Attendant (On-Call) role is onsite at the University of Nevada, Reno, in Reno, Nevada. Compensation is $12 per hour. The role supports catering functions for the university’s Silver & Blue location. Under the catering captain’s supervision, the attendant prepares and delivers food and supplies, sets up and serves events, and returns equipment and leftovers after service. The role helps ensure events are executed accurately while maintaining friendly service, food safety, and clean event and catering areas.

What you'll do

• Assemble and deliver food and supplies to scheduled event locations
• log and maintain food temperatures
• arrange tables, decorations, and buffet service items
• serve food and beverages
• clean event areas and return food, beverages, equipment, and utensils
• distribute and collect customer comment cards
• maintain catering facilities and equipment
• provide courteous service
• follow safety and sanitation procedures.

Why this role

On-call shifts vary with the event schedule; prior catering attendant and customer service experience is preferred. A food handler’s permit and/or alcohol server’s permit may be required where state law requires it.
