Mosquito Control Technician, Paid Training

The Mosquito Control Technician role is onsite in Richmond, VA, and surrounding areas, with compensation of $17–$22 per hour. The seasonal, full-time position generally runs March through October, with daytime hours Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays during peak season. Mosquito & Pest Authority provides pest treatments to help families enjoy outdoor spaces and protect homes from mosquitoes, ticks, fleas, and other pests. The technician travels between customer properties to apply mosquito treatments, inspect for conditions that contribute to mosquito activity, and document services. The role supports safe, reliable pest-control service through customer communication, equipment care, and compliance with company procedures and pesticide label requirements.

What you'll do

• Apply mosquito control treatments at residential and commercial properties
• operate backpack sprayers and other application equipment safely
• drive a company vehicle between appointments
• communicate with customers before and after service
• inspect properties for conditions contributing to mosquito activity
• follow safety procedures and pesticide label requirements
• document services using company software
• maintain equipment and vehicles.
