The Gastroenterologist – Hospital-Based Group, 7 On / 7 Off role is onsite in Shreveport, LA, with seven days on and seven days off, daytime shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and light night call coverage as needed. The role supports a 220-bed Level 3 Trauma Hospital’s established gastroenterology department. The hospitalist provides comprehensive inpatient gastrointestinal care through consultations, procedures, and patient rounding. The role contributes to the inpatient GI service through advanced endoscopic care and collaboration with the team and weekday nurse practitioner support staff.

What you'll do

• Perform advanced ERCP procedures
• manage 5–10 procedures daily and approximately eight GI consultations
• round on inpatients and manage the inpatient GI service with the team
• provide light night call coverage as needed
• collaborate with weekday nurse practitioner support staff for rounding and procedural assistance.
