The Procurement Specialist II role is 100% onsite in Houston, TX, with a Monday–Friday schedule of 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. or 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Compensation is not specified. System One provides outsourced services and workforce solutions and is recruiting for a client in the engineering, procurement, and construction sector. The specialist sources medium- and high-criticality materials and subcontracts across the project lifecycle, from deal development through contract award. The role manages supplier relationships, evaluates proposals, supports negotiations and contract administration, and mentors procurement colleagues.

What you'll do

• Develop sourcing strategies and supplier lists
• issue RFPs
• evaluate proposals and negotiate with suppliers
• prepare award recommendations
• support contract administration, subcontract management, change orders, and supplier meetings
• maintain supplier relationships
• mentor procurement personnel.
