The Farm Crew role is onsite in Berryville, VA, with pay of $25.75 per hour. The position is full-time, averaging 40 hours per week year-round, with no telework; evenings, weekends, and extended hours may be needed. Casey Trees works to restore, enhance, and protect the tree canopy of the nation’s capital through planting, tree care, conservation, education, and advocacy programs. The crew member performs hands-on tree production, grounds and facilities maintenance, and equipment maintenance and repair. This work supports nursery operations and the organization’s tree canopy mission through planting and maintaining trees, operating equipment, and helping maintain safe work areas.

What you'll do

• Perform tree planting, pruning, inventory, weeding, mulching, digging, and related nursery tasks
• operate powered and non-powered equipment and tools
• perform routine equipment and small-engine maintenance
• assist with painting, fence repairs, cleaning, event setup, and minor carpentry
• promote safe equipment and machine operation
• perform other duties as assigned.
