Tire Service Technician

Job overview

The Tire Service Technician works onsite in San Antonio, TX. Pay is $16 per hour. The role supports Kahlig Auto Group’s dealership Service Department by providing tire and wheel services with attention to workmanship and customer safety. The technician inspects, repairs, replaces, mounts, balances, and rotates tires while following dealership procedures, manufacturer recommendations, OSHA requirements, and safety practices. Accurate documentation and communication of additional vehicle concerns help the service team complete work safely and efficiently.

What you'll do

• Inspect tires and wheels for wear, damage, and safety concerns
• remove, install, mount, and dismount tires
• balance and rotate tires
• repair eligible tires and inflate to recommended pressure
• inspect TPMS components and related wheel hardware
• torque lug nuts to specifications
• communicate additional concerns to service staff
• complete repair orders
• operate shop equipment safely
• maintain tire inventory and a clean work area.
