Direct Support Professional

The Direct Support Professional role is onsite in Willimantic, CT, with a schedule of Sunday through Thursday, 2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m., for 40 hours per week. Compensation is $21.13 per hour. The role supports individuals with intellectual disabilities through March Inc’s residential program. The professional provides individualized daily assistance, supports personal care and community participation, documents care and progress, and communicates with families, coworkers, managers, and clinical or community providers. The role contributes to each supported person’s daily needs and individual goals.

What you'll do

• Provide daily instruction and assistance with meals, leisure activities, medication, money management, transportation, home maintenance, hygiene, and appointments
• complete behavior, financial, communication, nursing, incident, and medication records
• accompany individuals on appointments and trips
• maintain confidentiality
• respond to emergencies and provide emergency coverage as needed.
