This role serves as a caregiver to residents in a long-term care setting, providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse. The CNA plays a vital role in ensuring the physical and psychological well-being of residents.

What you'll do

• Serve as caregiver to residents during scheduled work period in long term care.
• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned resident under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
• Deliver age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of the resident as per care plan.
• Follow infection prevention and control policies and Personal Protective Equipment use.
• Provide assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities (bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, vital signs).
• Provide psychosocial support and other personal care.
• Assist residents with transferring, repositioning, and walking.
• Provide range of motion and passive exercises.
• Complete tasks related to food preparation and dining.
• Assist residents with meals and snacks, provide water and supplements.
• Document resident interactions and outcomes.
• Communicate resident's changing condition to the charge nurse.
• Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs.
• Provide housekeeping and laundry services.
• Provide assistance and documentation with wellness and recreational programs.

What we're looking for

Education

High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.

Experience

Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
