Governance Manager

The Governance Manager is based in Washington, DC, with in-person work Tuesday through Thursday. Compensation is $70,000–$85,000 per year. Reporting to the CEO, the manager coordinates board and committee governance for NHT and NHT Communities, ensuring meetings, materials, records, and follow-up are accurate and timely. The role also provides executive and administrative support that helps leadership and board members carry out organizational priorities.

What you'll do

• Coordinate board and committee calendars, agendas, materials, meeting logistics, minutes, action-item tracking, and follow-up
• prepare and proofread board books, reports, presentations, and correspondence
• maintain governance records and policies
• coordinate travel and reimbursements
• manage governance budgets and required registrations
• provide administrative support to the CEO and senior leadership.
