Manual Lathe Machinist — First Shift

The Manual Lathe Machinist role is onsite in Milwaukee, WI, with compensation of $26–$30 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. The Reserves Network connects candidates with a client operating a precision machine shop. The machinist sets up and operates a manual lathe to produce precision components, using drawings and measuring instruments to meet specifications. The role also includes routine machine maintenance and inspection of finished components.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate a manual lathe to produce precision components
• measure and inspect finished components with micrometers, calipers, and gauges
• interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, dimensions, and tolerances
• perform routine machine maintenance
• use workholding and clamping for milling, drilling, tapping, and boring
• apply knowledge of alloys, tooling, speeds, and feeds
• use overhead cranes.
