Job overview

The Caregiver and Companion role is onsite in Montgomery, AL. Compensation is not specified. The caregiver supports a senior client at home and in the community; the schedule may be 10 a.m.–7 p.m. two to three days per week, with other shifts available for those seeking full-time status. John Knox @ Home provides faith-based care to seniors in the Montgomery area. The caregiver provides companionship and practical assistance that helps the client manage daily activities, attend medical appointments, and maintain support at home while being mindful of changing needs during medical treatment.

What you'll do

• Provide companionship and conversation
• assist with light housekeeping, errands, transportation, grocery shopping, meal preparation, and general living needs. Accompany the client to appointments and assist with medications. A valid driver’s license and ability to drive the client’s vehicle are required.
