Senior Accountant

Job overview

The Senior Accountant role is remote and reports to the CFO while partnering with clinics in Fort Bragg, CA; Booneville, CA; and Point Arena, CA. Pay is $34–$45 per hour. The role supports the finance operations of three federally qualified health center medical clinics. The position maintains accurate financial records and provides financial reporting and analysis to support management. It contributes through general ledger management, reconciliations, close activities, compliance, audit support, and guidance to junior accounting staff.

What you'll do

• Manage general ledger accounts and monthly reconciliations
• prepare journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and adjustments
• lead or support month-, quarter-, and year-end close
• prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports
• support budgeting, forecasting, audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting
• ensure compliance with GAAP, policies, and internal controls
• maintain financial documentation and support junior accounting staff.

Why this role

Three positions are available. Healthcare/FQHC experience and public accounting or audit experience are preferred; ERP experience with systems such as MIP, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics is also preferred.
