What you'll do

• Restrain animals for examinations and treatments
• assist doctors with patient treatment
• weigh patients
• use radiology software and take digital radiographs
• run and prepare laboratory specimens
• maintain patient records
• support medical treatments, anesthesia, surgery, and dental care under veterinarian direction
• keep patients comfortable, fed, watered, and clean
• bathe animals as needed
• maintain controlled-drug logs
• prepare medications and prescriptions
• monitor inventory and stock rooms
• assist with hospital-area maintenance.
