Survey Crew Chief is an onsite role in Houston, TX; compensation is not specified. The role supports DCCM’s Survey team, which provides surveying services for public and private clients. The Crew Chief leads field survey operations, supervises crew members, and performs a range of land, route, topographic, construction-staking, and transportation surveys. Accurate field procedures, calculations, quality checks, and organized project records help support engineering design and client project delivery.

What you'll do

• Lead the field survey team and supervise staff assisting with assignments
• perform ALTA/ACSM Land Title, route, topographic, construction-staking, and transportation surveys
• complete complex surveying calculations using an engineering calculator, laptop, and coordinate geometry software
• follow QA/QC and note-taking procedures and project manager work orders
• use Leica GPS and robotic total stations
• drive a company vehicle to worksites
• review project scope and organize project information and electronic files
• complete assigned tasks on time and follow safety protocols.
