The Resident Assistant — Memory Care role is onsite in Fort Madison, IA. Pay is $15.50–$17.00 per hour. The role supports residents and works with the Health & Wellness Director, nursing team, and leadership within the Better Days Memory Care philosophy. Better Living describes its mission as supporting residents’ purpose, dignity, and joy. The Resident Assistant helps residents with daily living, safety, engagement, and independence. By following care plans, communicating changes, documenting care, and building relationships around residents’ preferences and routines, the role contributes to continuity of care and a welcoming community environment.

What you'll do

• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transfers, and mobility
• provide meal assistance and hydration
• observe and report changes in condition
• maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
• follow care and service plans
• encourage participation in daily programming and Better Days Memory Care activities
• document care and observations
• follow infection-control and emergency procedures
• communicate with nurses, leadership, and peers
• report suspected abuse, neglect, or unusual incidents.
