The Director of Sales Engineering role is hybrid in Columbia, MD, with compensation of $180,000–$200,000 per year and eligibility for a discretionary bonus. Tate Americas develops integrated solutions for data center infrastructure projects across the Americas. The director leads Sales Engineering, Estimating, and CAD support teams and turns customer requirements into defined scopes, estimates, proposals, and handoffs to execution. The role improves bid quality and estimating processes while aligning sales, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and project delivery.

What you'll do

• Lead and set priorities for Sales Engineering, Estimating, and CAD support teams
• define customer requirements and assess scope and feasibility
• oversee proposal quality and completeness
• establish estimating practices
• review major bids and risks
• validate sourcing, lead times, fabrication methods, and costs with Procurement and Manufacturing
• lead structured contract-award handoffs
• coordinate estimate-to-design resolution and customer changes
• build tools and processes
• coach managers and technical leads.
