What you'll do

• Use hand lines to lower limbs and equipment
• unload, lay out, prepare, and stow materials and tools
• work from the ground with handsaws and pole saws
• drive trucks and loaders and operate assigned equipment such as log movers, chippers, and stump grinders
• service trucks and equipment and report repair needs
• safeguard employees and the public around the work area
• communicate with workers aloft
• participate in safety meetings and job briefings
• follow safety standards and use PPE
• keep the work area clean and orderly.
