Hardware Test Engineer (Mid to Principal)

The Hardware Test Engineer (Mid to Principal) role is an onsite position in Redmond, WA, with compensation of $140,000–$200,000 per year. Eclipse Space Technologies is developing satellite platforms to expand access to space. This engineer designs, builds, and automates test systems across development, qualification, and production so flight hardware can be verified and validated. The work connects electrical, mechanical, RF, and software engineering and helps determine which hardware is ready for flight.

What you'll do

• Design and build test racks, bench-top platforms, automated test equipment, electrical panels, harnesses, fixtures, PCBAs, and ground support equipment
• select or design instrumentation and maintain schematics and integration documentation
• lead test infrastructure architecture and standards
• write and execute verification procedures
• support thermal/vacuum, vibration, and HALT/HASS testing
• investigate anomalies and corrective actions
• develop Python automation for data collection, instrument control, and reporting
• integrate telemetry and production documentation tools
• design operator interfaces.
