Job overview

The After-Hours Crisis Responder is a field-based role with openings in Danville and Kankakee, IL; compensation is $50 to $120 per shift. The position is part of Aunt Martha’s Integrated Community Based Services division and Comprehensive Community Based Youth Services department. The responder provides immediate in-person crisis intervention for youth facing unsafe or unstable circumstances. The role focuses on stabilization, safety planning, diversion from juvenile justice involvement, and support for reunification or short-term placement, while coordinating referrals and documenting each response.

What you'll do

  • Respond to referring sources by phone within 15 minutes and arrive onsite within 60 minutes in urban areas or 90 minutes in rural areas
  • serve designated LAN regions
  • complete crisis intake packets and document activity in CareLogic within two hours
  • facilitate reunification or appropriate placement with supervisor approval
  • provide referrals and resource coordination
  • remain accessible by cell phone during scheduled shifts
  • submit mileage and time records
  • participate in supervision and meetings
  • follow mandated reporting requirements and complete required training.
