What you'll do

• Obtain and document patient information
• respond to calls and portal messages about pain, postoperative concerns, refills, scheduling, treatment updates, and clinical questions
• educate patients about conditions, treatment plans, medications, and provider recommendations
• coordinate refills, samples, and prior authorizations under physician direction
• document interactions in the electronic medical record
• schedule tests, procedures, and follow-up services
• triage calls with switchboard staff
• collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and front office personnel
• complete assigned clinical tasks
• participate in quality improvement
• assist with orientation and training of phone office staff
• maintain patient confidentiality under HIPAA.
