Field Service Technician – Power Generation

Job overview

The Field Service Technician – Power Generation role is onsite in Lakeville, MN. Pay is $35–$45 per hour. Interstate Power Systems provides service, maintenance, and repair for industrial and commercial generator systems, supporting clients’ reliable operations. The technician installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs generators and related systems. Preventive service, testing, documentation, and customer communication help keep client power systems operating safely and reliably.

What you'll do

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on generators, engines, and control systems
• diagnose electrical, mechanical, and electronic issues
• conduct load bank testing, upgrades, and installations as needed
• document service activities and parts used
• follow safety standards and company protocols
• communicate with team members and clients
• respond to emergency service calls and provide on-call support as needed
• maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles.
