The Registered Nurse (RN), Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Days role is onsite in Bay City, MI, with compensation of $50–$56 per hour. The nurse supports the surgical services team by caring for patients recovering from anesthesia after surgical procedures. The role monitors patients’ recovery, supports airway and respiratory stability, manages ordered medications and symptoms, and identifies complications requiring intervention. Clear documentation and coordination with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and PACU colleagues help support safe recovery and discharge readiness.

What you'll do

• Continuously monitor vital signs and level of consciousness during recovery from anesthesia
• maintain a patent airway and adequate respiratory function and intervene for obstruction or distress
• administer ordered IV fluids, analgesics, anti-emetics, and other medications
• assess surgical sites, incisions, and dressings for bleeding, drainage, or complications
• recognize adverse reactions and initiate emergency interventions as required
• maintain electronic nursing records and communicate patient progress and discharge readiness to the care team.

Why this role
