The Research & Development Intern, Summer 2027 role is onsite in Chicago, IL, from May 24 through August 10, 2027. Compensation is $28 per hour. The intern supports fairlife’s Research and Development team at a nutrition company producing dairy and nutrition products. The internship provides hands-on exposure to product development, testing, and commercialization. The intern supports product or formula projects, evaluates ingredients and products, analyzes data, and maintains project records while following laboratory and food safety requirements.

What you'll do

• Support a project to develop a product, optimize an existing formula, or evaluate ingredient functionality
• participate in product development from formulation and pilot plant production through commercialization
• conduct product testing and evaluations
• enter and analyze data
• maintain project records and confidentiality
• follow lab safety and food safety protocols
• report repairs or adjustments that may affect product quality or food safety
• identify and record food safety or quality problems.
