Assembler Trainee

Job overview

The Assembler Trainee role is onsite at Grayhill’s Iola, WI facility. Compensation is $15 per hour. Grayhill designs and manufactures human interface components and control panels for customers in several industries. The trainee learns assembly processes within a production cell under a supervisor’s direction. The role develops skills in component assembly, testing, inspection, equipment setup, and production data entry to support quality manufacturing.

What you'll do

• Learn to read work orders, routing sheets, bills of materials, drawings, and sample assemblies
• position and join parts
• mount and connect electronic components and wires
• install assemblies in cases and cabinets
• attach hardware
• learn simple machine setups and preventive maintenance
• trim materials to meet electrical or dimensional requirements
• perform go/no-go testing and inspection
• follow FOE and ESD policies
• enter data into quality and manufacturing systems.
