The Physician Coder role is onsite in Titusville, FL, with a schedule of 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m., 40 hours per week. Compensation is not specified. What you'll do

• Assign and sequence diagnosis codes, procedures, modifiers, and charge levels using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS based on provider documentation
• query providers when documentation is conflicting or ambiguous
• monitor documentation turnaround and productivity and follow up on uncoded accounts
• verify records and diagnoses are valid and complete before final coding
• provide coding-guideline education to clinicians
• follow coding compliance plans and ethical standards
• maintain accuracy and productivity standards.

Why this role

Requires vocational or technical school, certification, or apprenticeship; relevant anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology coursework or experience; and coding coursework.
