What you'll do

  • Evaluating students to identify speech-language therapy needs and determine appropriate levels of service.
  • Developing and implementing individualized speech therapy plans.
  • Setting collaborative, student-centered goals with families and educators.
  • Monitoring student progress and adjusting therapy plans.
  • Providing direct speech and language therapy using evidence-based strategies.
  • Documenting therapy sessions and maintaining case records.
  • Fostering communication with families.
  • Collaborating with teachers and related service providers.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary meetings.
  • Providing clinical support to onsite program teams.
  • Mentoring educators and staff.
  • Conducting client intakes and assessments.
  • Overseeing the quality and consistency of speech therapy services.
  • Maintaining clinical excellence through supervision and staff development.
  • Collaborating with clients, caregivers, and families.
  • Engaging in continuous professional development.
  • Traveling regularly between assigned Spectrum School locations.

What we're looking for

Education
Master's degree or higher in speech pathology or a closely related field of study.
Experience
Prior experience and/or knowledge in providing speech therapy instruction, guidance and/or support to children, preferably in an alternative, special education and/or behavioral health program setting.
