Extrusion Operator — Second Shift

The Extrusion Operator — Second Shift role is onsite in Cuyahoga Falls, OH, and is full-time, Monday–Friday, 2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m.; training on first shift is required. Starting pay is $18 per hour plus a $1.75 second-shift differential, with higher pay for experience. Americhem manufactures color compounds and related products. The operator sets up and runs extrusion equipment to process compounds safely and according to specifications. The role supports production quality by preparing materials and equipment, producing and checking pellets, adjusting machine settings with team guidance, and preparing finished product for shipment.

What you'll do

• Follow safety procedures
• transport materials and equipment
• verify product assignments and specifications
• prepare the work area and retrieve color mix and machine components
• set up and change over extruders and related equipment
• enter specifications and set temperatures and feed rates
• install or change machine parts
• load color mix using a tow motor
• produce compound samples and pellets under team-leader or Level 3 coworker guidance
• check pellet quality and reprocess nonconforming pellets
• prepare containers and shipping labels
• record machine-setting changes.
