What you'll do

• Assist the orthodontist during clinical procedures
• prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
• take dental impressions, digital scans, photographs, and orthodontic X-rays as permitted
• place and remove orthodontic appliances under doctor supervision and applicable state regulations
• adjust archwires and change elastics as directed
• educate patients
• maintain records and clinical notes
• follow OSHA, HIPAA, and infection-control protocols
• support patient flow, operatory turnover, and supply inventory.
