• Develop and maintain orientation and ongoing education for nursing and direct care staff
• coordinate infection-control education and policies
• monitor infection rates and trends
• assess and document staff competencies
• participate in performance improvement activities
• stay current on infection-control developments and regulatory requirements.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s degree in nursing or an equivalent healthcare-related field, at least three years of nursing experience, and a current nursing license in the state of practice or a recognized multistate compact license. Nursing education or infection-control experience is preferred.
