What you'll do

• Inspect machines and heavy equipment to diagnose defects
• repair or replace worn or damaged parts
• diagnose hydraulic and pneumatic faults
• rebuild gearboxes, outriggers, and boom lift cylinders
• dismantle and reassemble equipment
• replace and test hoses
• test repaired equipment against specifications
• perform routine maintenance
• inspect safety devices
• read manuals and technical drawings
• test-drive vehicles as needed
• maintain parts, service, labor, and repair records.
