Dietary Cook

Job overview

The Dietary Cook role is onsite in Ord, NE; compensation is $17–$20 per hour. The cook prepares meals for customers, team members, and visitors in a care setting. The cook follows menus and therapeutic diet instructions, meets meal schedules, and maintains food safety and sanitation. The role supports residents’ dietary needs and a caring dining experience through accurate preparation and coordination with dietary staff.

What you'll do

• Prepare food according to recipes and schedules
• prepare nutritionally appropriate meals, including modified-consistency and therapeutic diets
• follow menus and special diet instructions
• monitor food temperatures and storage
• follow cleaning schedules
• reduce food waste
• care for dietary equipment
• communicate and cooperate with dietary staff
• coach other dietary team members when the dietary directors are absent.
