Battery Pack Engineering Lead

The Battery Pack Engineering Lead role is onsite in Los Angeles, CA. Compensation is $220,000–$280,000 per year. Hadrian is building autonomous factories to help aerospace and defense companies produce mission-critical systems more quickly and at lower cost. This hands-on technical leader will take a pilot battery-pack assembly line from concept through production readiness, setting technical direction and leading a small team. The role integrates pack architecture, assembly processes, safety, testing, traceability, and cross-functional coordination to meet yield, throughput, cost, and rate targets.

What you'll do

• Own the pilot battery-pack assembly line from architecture through process design, build, testing, and production readiness
• define cell handling, joining, interconnect, thermal management, enclosure, and sealing processes
• develop tooling, stations, and work instructions
• own battery safety and applicable testing
• establish electrical testing and validation
• build cell traceability and lot control
• lead a small team
• coordinate with design, manufacturing, automation, supply chain, quality, and program teams.
