What you'll do

• Collect, label, and prepare patient specimens
• conduct chemical analyses of body fluids and tissues
• follow laboratory procedures for handling, testing, and reporting
• check result accuracy and address or report problems
• monitor quality assurance
• record results in the electronic health record
• maintain quality-control and equipment records
• operate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
• collaborate with healthcare professionals
• follow safety, regulatory, and confidentiality requirements.
