The Litigation Associate, Insurance Coverage role is hybrid in Walnut Creek, CA, in the San Francisco Bay Area. Compensation is $170,000–$180,000 per year, commensurate with experience. The role supports Tressler LLP’s Insurance Services and Litigation Practice Groups. The attorney analyzes insurance coverage issues and represents clients in litigation across multiple insurance lines. The role contributes through legal research, written analysis, case development, litigation handling, and client and carrier communications, working with senior attorneys and other team members.

What you'll do

• Analyze insurance policies and coverage issues
• draft coverage opinions, legal memoranda, and briefs
• advise clients on insurance coverage
• conduct legal research
• collaborate with senior attorneys and clients on case development
• handle litigation phases including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial
• prepare written reports for insurance carriers or self-insured clients
• attend hearings and oral arguments remotely and in person
• take and defend depositions
• prepare for and participate in mediations or settlement proceedings.
