The Dietitian role is onsite in Anchorage, AK, with a stated base pay range of $33.63–$52.22 per hour. The position is in the Nutrition Services Department at Providence Alaska Medical Center, supporting Providence’s mission of caring for communities, especially vulnerable people. The dietitian assesses patients’ medical nutrition therapy needs and develops and manages individualized interdisciplinary care plans. The role supports nutrition care for hospitalized adults and children through counseling, education, referrals, and collaboration with the healthcare team, while also contributing to outpatient follow-up and student or intern learning.

What you'll do

• Assess medical nutrition therapy needs using diagnoses, laboratory values, anthropometric measures, medications, age-specific needs, and comorbidities
• develop, implement, and manage individualized interdisciplinary care plans
• counsel and educate patients and families when appropriate
• refer patients to other healthcare team members to support outpatient care and follow-up
• advocate for nutrition care
• consult with medical staff and, when contracted or requested, the community
• serve as a preceptor to students and interns.
