Cost Accountant

The position supports a client’s financial operations in a manufacturing environment and partners closely with the Plant Controller. The role maintains reliable cost and inventory information for financial reporting and operational decisions. It contributes through cost analysis, reconciliations, budgeting support, internal controls, and audit assistance.

What you'll do

• Prepare month-end financial reports
• support budgeting and financial planning
• analyze actual costs against budget and investigate variances
• maintain cost accounting controls and procedures
• perform inventory reporting, cycle counts, and physical inventory audits
• reconcile general ledger accounts
• conduct gross margin analysis
• assist with internal and external audits
• support accounting and finance projects.
