Facilities Housekeeper

The Facilities Housekeeper is an onsite, part-time role based in San Luis Obispo, CA. The pay rate is $16.90 per hour. This role supports the ResCare Community Living team in maintaining clean and safe environments for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role exists to ensure that homes and facilities are neat, clean, and debris-free, meeting health standards. The housekeeper contributes to the mission of enhancing independence by maintaining a comfortable and sanitary living space for residents.

What you'll do

• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas so that health standards are met.
• Cleans floor surfaces, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners, shampooers and/or powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
• Empties trash receptacles and cleans and maintains windows, walls, woodwork, and light fixtures.
• Recognizes the need for housing maintenance or hazards and submits work order for repair.
• Follows universal precautions and strict procedures regarding cleaners or hazardous materials or objects and infection control, isolation, fire, safety and sanitation practices.
• Sorts, counts and marks clothing and other articles, loads washing machines, and irons and fold dried items and stores them in linen closets.
