The Chemist I role is fully onsite in Reston, VA, five days per week, with a five-day work week. The annual salary range is $50,035–$70,049. HGL’s environmental projects address contamination and support restoration of natural resources and environmental stewardship. The chemist provides environmental analytical chemistry support by coordinating sampling and laboratory work, managing and reviewing analytical data, and supporting quality assurance. The work helps project teams produce complete, accurate, and usable environmental data for their projects.

What you'll do

• Support preparation of UFP-QAPPs, data validation narratives, and data usability reports
• coordinate laboratory services and field sampling events
• manage and report environmental analytical data
• review laboratory and field data for completeness and correctness
• correct and upload electronic data deliverables
• support corrective actions and quality control
• contribute to requirements for environmental data reporting tools and processes.
