What you'll do

• Prepare and cook resident meals in quantities based on menus and the number of people served
• meet serving schedules
• follow cooking methods and temperatures
• serve meals according to dietary guidelines
• check trays for completeness and accuracy
• monitor portion control
• prepare food for facility personnel, families, visitors, and special occasions as directed
• and verify that special-diet trays match residents’ diets. A high school diploma or GED, or equivalent related work experience, and at least one year of large-quantity food preparation experience are required.
